The Challenge

We were tasked with providing a number of applicants to cover the portering, maintenance and cleaning needs for NHS Choices.

An additional requirement was to ensure that there were enough successful applicants to cover the 24 hour, 7 day week shift patterns in an ongoing basis.

The Processes

Working with the NHS means that we have to ensure that all applicants are selected carefully and that the Employment Plus selection processes are met. Core processes that we undertook were:

Background checks were performed

Security checks were undertaken

Correct driving qualifications and licences were had

References were validated

The Outcome

Employment Plus met all of the requirements and successfully recruited a large team of staff that were employed to cover all of the portering, maintenance and cleaning

requirements over 24×7 shift patterns.
